Zero Compromise Optic MOA
Customers have been requesting a ZCO scope with Minute of Angle (MOA) turrets and reticle for the last couple of years. We have been getting these requests from shooters pushing the limits in ELR, F-Class, hunters, and even competition shooters that prefer the MOA adjustment value and want the supreme optical performance and build quality that we deliver. We are exceptionally pleased to finally bring this product to market!
Our new MOA model scope will first be delivered in our bestselling ZC527 with the ZC420 a few months behind. This isn’t just a different engraving on the turret however as providing the entire range of elevation adjustment required a complete redesign of our turret mechanism, rotation indicator, as well as the click value. We’ve kept our turrets as low profile as possible which customers love and we still provide our exceptional locking function that is simple to operate yet very robust along with a Return 2 Zero that is built inside the turret.
A single complete turn of the elevation turret yields 30 MOA of adjustment. We kept our
engraving as large as possible on the turrets along with as much space as we could between clicks to make viewing the exact click setting as easy as possible.
Our initial reticle design is a straight crosshair style graduated in MOA. This is a very straight forward and clean design providing hold points every MOA. Holding between hash marks for every half MOA is extremely simple and keeps the reticle design as uncluttered as possible.
Every two MOA hash mark is longer than the rest allowing the shooter to keep track of their hold very easy. The vertical crosshair extends down to 42 MOA for those ELR type shots that need that much elevation hold. All other aspects of our products remain the same as our customers have come to depend on; extreme build quality, durability, dependability, and the best optical performance of any manufacturer. Customers that prefer MOA adjustments will be extremely pleased with these products!
Our Minute of Angle (MOA) reticle design is a normal crosshair style graduated with one MOA increments for a straightforward and clean appearance. This design was specifically developed for shooters competing in all different shooting aspects from F-Class and Extreme Long Range to open country big-game hunting.
Along the horizontal, every even number MOA hash mark is longer than the rest extending above and below the horizontal cross- hair while the odd number MOA increments only extend a short distance below. This simple arrangement allows you to keep track of your wind hold very easily. Holding between hash marks for every half MOA is extremely simple and keeps the reticle design as uncluttered as possible yet highly effective.
The vertical crosshair extends down to 42 MOA for those ELR type shots that need that much elevation hold in combination with the turret adjustment. Again, the even number hash marks are longer than the rest and extend left and right of the vertical by one MOA to each side. The odd MOA increments are shorter and only extend one-half MOA to each side. This keeps the increments easy to distinguish allowing you to easily find the correct hold point while providing a visually ”balanced“ reticle design.
Our floating dot is sized at 0.124 MOA diameter for an ultra precise hold on the target. Wind and elevation hold numbers are given every 6 MOA to reduce clutter while still providing rapid counting when needed. This new design from ZCO will appeal to an extremely wide audience of shooters around the world for its simplicity, clean look, yet versatile capability.
